Your Guide Around Here: N.K. Mitchell
Are you always searching for your next great mystery to devour? Then welcome to FemaleSleuths.com, where I focus on mysteries of all kinds — from cozy to hard-boiled — featuring female protagonists.
We’ll travel across the ages, from Agatha Christie and Carolyn Keene to Louise Penny and Elly Griffiths. We’ll visit cozy English villages and the mean streets of Los Angeles. And we’ll tag along with sarcastic private eyes like Izzy Spellman, ride in Kinsey Millhone’s dented VW bug and check in on the senior sleuths in Killers of a Certain Age.
My qualifications? I grew up reading about Miss Marple’s adventures in library books, hidden under the covers, flashlight in hand. (E-readers were not a thing in the 1970s.) I’ve been reading mysteries for nearly half a century and I love to analyze characters, dissect plots and study those whodunnit endings.
In addition, for those considering authoring their own mysteries, I’ll be sharing tips and tricks about writing and publishing. I’ve been a professional journalist and writer for most of my life, and recently completed a master’s degree in professional creative writing.

This is not me, only what I feel like some days.
